Employment law
We represent both employers and employees. The main focus of our activities however is preventative advice to employers to avoid undesirable consequences of employment law disputes. The formulation of employment contracts and cessation agreements and consultation in the case of e.g. warnings and dismissals are as much part of our service as advice in all aspects of a contract for the managing director.
Increasingly, we are having to consider not only employment law issues, but also social insurance law and taxation aspects.
The extra-judicial or conciliatory settlement of a conflict, which is often particularly desirable in the case of employment law disputes, can only succeed if the interests of the other party (e.g. taxation of a settlement payment, bar of unemployment benefits) are borne in mind too. Since a legal dispute cannot always be avoided, the conduct of court proceedings is also an important part of our services, not only before the employment courts, but, in the case of disputes between companies and their managing directors, also before the civil courts.
